Ahmed, a seasoned IT executive with over 25 years of experience, currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft as well an adjunct professor of practice at AUC in the Business School. As the country leader for digital transformation and AI, he excels in driving technology-enabled business transformations and advising clients on innovative approaches that drive business value. With a strong track record in leveraging intelligent business solutions, analytics, and AI, Ahmed is skilled at translating complex ideas into compelling narratives for CxO’s. His expertise includes harnessing cloud computing and AI to deliver tangible business value and lead enterprise solutions. Ahmed spent most of his career outside Egypt where he had different leadership responsibilities covering various industries. In 2020, he returned to Egypt to directly contribute to the country’s digital transformation. Ahmed, fluent in 3 languages, graduated with a bachelor of engineering from the American University in Cairo with High Honors and is holding an MBA with distinction from Maastricht School of Management as well as a diploma from London Business School.
